The backs reads: Many mis-use God's name , even in advertising to promote a product. The term "I AM" implies exclusiveness and distinction. Canadians like to consider themselves a "distinct society" with unique values and definitive characteristics. Likewise, God has characteristics and values that are distinct and unchanging. In fact, the phrase "I AM." was coined by God Himself when He appeared before Moses in the burning bush. He would soon appear again to inscribe the 10 Laws that define for us a standard of God's righteousness. Most people consider the 10 Commandments to be a good moral code to live by and the means by which they'll get to heaven. Do you think you'll go to heaven? To find out, answer these questions with a tender conscience: Have you ever lied (even once)? Ever steal anything? Have you ever lusted (looked at pornography, had sex outside of marriage)? God considers lust as adultery. If you've answered "yes" to these 3 questions, by your own admission you are a lying, thief and an adulterer and you have to face God on judgment day. Have you taken God's name in vain, using His name in place of a filthy curse word? God says He will not hold anyone guiltless that does. Have you ever hated anyone? God considers hatred as murder because He knows our thoughts and the motives in our heart. The first commandment tells us to have no other gods before Him and the second commands us not to worship Idols or to set anything up in the place of God. Though He is exclusive and distinct, many refuse to worship God as He is, nor do they submit to His Laws. Rather, they make up a god in their own mind to suit themselves and call it their own religion. God calls it Idolatry. Because God is holy and just, He must punish sin. Will you be guilty or innocent? Be honest before God.. you know you will be guilty and therefore end up in hell. But that's not God's will for you!
No one can gain entrance to heaven by their own "goodness." We all fall short of the righteousness required to enter heaven. That's why we need a Savior. God in His mercy has provided a way for you to be saved from the wrath that is coming on sinners. He came as a man in the person of Jesus Christ to take your punishment upon Himself so that you could be forgiven! Jesus is the advocate that can stand in your defense on the day of judgement. When the Law was about to take its course, Jesus stepped into the courtroom of eternal justice and paid the fine you were unable to pay. Only Jesus is righteous enough to fulfill the demands of the Law. Put your faith in Him, don't rely on your own self-righteousness. In order for you to be included in this redemptive plan, you must repent of your sin and surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. God loves you dearly and does not want you to face His wrath. He is ready to welcome you into His family and grant you eternal life as soon as you call out to Him and ask His forgiveness. Once you do that, get yourself a Bible and obey what you read. Don't put it off! Tomorrow may be too late.
