A tract to go with the Pressed Penny (#238)

Penny for Your Thoughts

The first time a penny was ever pressed with an image in the U.S. was in 1893. The impression on the penny was the Ten Commandments. To see the wording on a penny, tilt the coin into the light. The same principle applies with the Ten Commandments themselves--to understand each Commandment, you need the light of the New Testament. For example, the Old Testament says, "You shall not commit adultery," but Jesus said that if you look with lust, you commit adultery in your heart. The New Testament says that if you hate someone, you commit murder in your heart. Have you ever lied (even a "white" lie) or stolen? Then you're a lying thief, and you are in big trouble. On Judgment Day you'll be guilty, and end up in Hell. But God sent His Son to die on the Cross for you. Jesus took your punishment, and rose from the grave. Repent today and trust the Savior, and you will receive the gift of eternal life. Read the Bible daily and obey what you read. Also, it is legal to press pennies-Coin Code Section 331-title 18 U.S. Government.
